"I find your lack of faith disturbing..."

So, have you seen or heard anything about Episode III yet? It's the Revenge of the Sith, baby!

If you haven't already seen it, check out the trailer. As usual, I'm as excited as a three-tongued horny toad, even after having been burned at least once in the past (I've recently acquired a newfound respect for Attack of the Clones, Hayden Christensen's acting notwithstanding). So maybe my fanboy glee is a little premature. But come on, it's Star Wars! Who doesn't like Star Wars? And we finally get to see Darth Vader again (which, incidentally, will mean James Earl Jones' acting instead of Hayden Christensen's, hopefully). I, for one, am waiting with baited breath. Fortunately, it's being released on the same day here in Sweden. But whether that means here in Falun, or only in places like Stockholm, Göteborg, and Malmö, is another matter, so keep your fingers crossed.

And for anyone who is wondering how they can help contribute to my Episode III toy-buying fund, donations are freely and gladly accepted.

Swedish words of the day: Hämnd av Sithen, which would mean (I think) "Revenge of the Sith"

I see a little silhouetto of a man

Finally (after many months), I have posted some pictures of my trip to the Czech Republic over the New Year's time. Go to my photoblog and thrill to the sight of the churches, rivers, and really tall towers of Prague! There's even a few pictures of the spooky ossuary in Kutna Hora (that's a plce where they keep bones, FYI). Excited? I sure am! I'm going to look at those pictures right now! Where are they again? Here. Right here.

I also posted a few of the more artistic ones to my deviantART account, if you'd like to see them in more detail. I personally recommend this for the Coat of Bones.

Coming soon: Pictures of Poland!

Swedish words of the day: Tjeckiska republiken, which means "Czech Republic"

Tiger Redux

Today's offering is a poem that I've recently written, submitted for your reading enjoyment. Before I hear calls of "thief!" or "plagiarist!", I should point out that the poem is a pastiche of William Blake's The Tiger. Those interested in comparing the two can read the original poem here.

Tiger Redux

In the gloaming of the night
Tiger! Tiger! Dreadful sight
Gnashing teeth and wicked claws
Virtues blessed or curséd flaws?

Run the distant deeps and skies
Beneath the stars' impassive eyes
Didst thou aspire on such wings?
Hath heaven such a fearful ring?

What the hammer? what the pain?
What the anvil? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy god?
What the staff? and what the rod?

Tiger! Tiger! Fearsome beast
Who the diner? Who the feast?
Lamb or tiger? What the choice?
What dread art, and what dread voice?

What immortal heart conspired
To forge thee on its fun'ral pyre?
What fell hand what crafted thee
With beating heart and fierce glee

Like spears thrown down from heav'n above,
Or tears wept out for dying love,
Do we, enflamed with bronzed desire,
Dare thy hellish wrath admire?

Do we dare to seize the prize
That burns within thy murdered eyes?
What dread fire do we seek
In their dark, unfathomed deeps?

In the gloaming, jungles dark
Tiger! Tiger! Leave thy mark
He who made such virtue dire
What of thee does he require?
